Overlap helps a group find a meeting time. It has no accounts. This page explains what it stores and why.

What you enter

Your browser keeps secret keys that let you edit your own response and, if you made the poll, see contact info. Nobody else can use them.

Google Calendar

If you choose Connect Google Calendar, Overlap asks Google for two permissions:

Overlap stores a Google access token on its server so it can refresh your availability every minute on polls you've joined. It uses this access only to mark your free times on those polls. It never edits your calendar, never shares or sells your data, and doesn't use it for ads or anything else.

Overlap's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

While Google is connected, Overlap also remembers which polls you made or answered under your Google email, so connecting the same account on another device brings them back.

Click Disconnect on any poll to stop syncing. Overlap revokes its Google access and deletes the stored token right away. Once no device is connected to that account, the saved list of your polls is deleted too. You can also remove access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Calendar files

If you import a calendar file instead, it's read in your browser. Only the resulting free times are saved.

Where data lives

Data is stored with Supabase (database) and the site is hosted on Vercel. Polls stay until they're deleted.
